The teaching and course development at HITAM are geared to meet the challenge of intellectual endeavours required by the integrated system of education and at the same time to fulfill the expectations and aspirations of the students who are admitted competitively from all over the state.

To achieve these objectives it is essential to secure active participation of faculty in the learning process and to help them realise the significance of their role in the total education of the student. The teacher should also be able to contribute to the on-going process of formulating more effective techniques of teaching, evaluating and developing interdisciplinary courses and instructional materials which the system demands.

The FDP ensures that HITAM faculty research and teaching remain relevant to business and create strong ties between the faculty and major principles as well as companies. It also serves to unify faculty working on a common agenda and helps the teacher work continually on his/her improvement by being abreast with the latest technical and industry developments.
