Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering started right from the inception of the college in the year 2001. The primary objective of the department has been to impart quality education, training and research at the undergraduate level in various fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering with broad emphasis on design aspects of electronic systems. The Department presently offers UG Programme B.Tech with an intake of 120 Students

The Department has several well-equipped laboratories, namely, Microwave Engineering, Digital Communications, Analog Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Basic Simulation, Analog Electronics, Micro Processor and Microcontroller. The Department motivates students to take up innovative projects through participation actively through in-house Projects.

To achieve academic excellence in Electronics and Communication Engineering education and to train students in contemporary core technologies by developing them into skillful engineers inspired with human values and social needs.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • PEO1: Our graduates will be competent enough to work in team for IT as well as for core electronic industry globally (PO1, PO2, PO5, PO9, PO10, and PO11)
  • PEO2: Graduates will be leading a successful career in the research and development (PO8, PO12)
  • PEO3: Our graduates will be addressing societal needs through multidisciplinary engineering projects approach (PO3, PO4, PO6, and PO7)

Career Prospects:

Electronics & Communication Engineering open up with great career prospects for the students. The students after completion of the degree can easily avail job opportunities in manufacturing industries and service organizations such as broadcasting, consulting, data communication, entertainment, research and development; and system support. The candidates can also work in modern multimedia service firms that are involved in real-time transfer of information through video conferencing and internet broadcasting.
