80% of the intake into the college is through convener quota.  The Convener quota is for the candidates who are qualified in the EAMCET entrance exam conducted by JNTU.  Convener conducts counselling in three schedules for all the qualified candidates in entrance exam to fill seats in their quota.  During the counselling sessions, candidate is informed about the availability of the seats in particular colleges and branches.  The candidate will be given choice to opt for any one of the college.  There will be convener codes for all the affiliated colleges of JNTU. HITM is the convener code for Hyderabad Instituted of Technology and Management.  This has to be mentioned at the counselling quote.
